Quartz sand is a kind of hard, wear-resistant and chemically stable silicate mineral, which is made of crushed quartz. Ordinary low purity quartz sand is yellow white variegated particles, and refined high purity quartz sand is white or colorless translucent, with Mohs hardness of 7.

Quartz sand is an important industrial mineral raw material and a non dangerous product.
